Ampere Computing is ready to go initial public offering

Ampere Computing, which is known for its Arm architecture to build server processors, stated earlier that it has submitted documents to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and is expected to be listed in the future.

Headquartered in Santa Clara, California, Ampere Computing was founded in 2017 by Renée James, who had worked at Intel for more than 28 years and was promoted from engineer to president. It builds server processors with Arm architecture and mass-produces them with TSMC process technology. Currently, its main cooperative customers are Oracle and Microsoft.

In recent news, Ampere Computing has received a $426 million investment from Oracle, and Oracle has also acquired a large stake in Ampere Computing. There was even previous news that Oracle plans to acquire more shares of Ampere Computing from Softbank, showing that Oracle is optimistic about the future development of Ampere Computing.

After the listing, it is expected that Ampere Computing will be able to obtain more funds through the stock offering to compete with semiconductor companies such as Intel and AMD in the server market.
