11,000 users called on Microsoft to bring back the ability to move the Windows 11 taskbar to the top and sides
Although the official version of Windows 11 is about to be released, there are still many users who call on Microsoft to allow the taskbar to be adjusted freely instead of restricting it to the bottom.
In this new system, some of the adjustments made by Microsoft have indeed affected the user’s operating habits. For example, the taskbar can only be placed at the bottom and cannot be moved to the left and right sides.
Although it is currently possible to move the taskbar to the top by modifying the Windows 11 registry, these adjustment methods may be abandoned by Microsoft after the official version is released or in the future.
In the feedback center, a user asked Microsoft two months ago to allow the Windows 11 taskbar to move freely, including moving to the top or the left and right sides.
This feedback currently has 11,863 votes in favor. Until now, there are still users who continue to click for and post messages calling for Microsoft to open the taskbar to move.
The Microsoft engineer said that it will develop Windows 11 and its features based on user feedback. As for whether the taskbar can move freely in the end, it is completely unclear.
