The PCB pictures of the Intel DG2-512 EU graphics engineering samples are released

About two months ago, the YouTuber Moore’s Law Is Dead leaked the engineering sample photos of Intel’s DG2 (Discrete Graphics 2) series of discrete graphics cards based on the Xe-HPG architecture. The same up master, this time released the PCB picture of the graphics card. It is understood that these pictures have the same source as the previously leaked pictures.

It can be seen from the pictures leaked by Moore’s Law Is Dead, this engineering sample should be in a very early stage. The PCB is green, with dual 8Pin external power interfaces, and 8 GDDR6 video memory welding positions, corresponding to 256-bit video memory size, which can be matched with 8 Gb or 16 Gb DRAM chips to configure 8 GB or 16 GB video memory capacity. Not sure if there is the ability to connect with multiple GPUs. Although there is no corresponding interface design on the board, this can be achieved through PCIe Gen4 channels. Some information is erased in the picture, which should be the serial number and code of the graphics card to prevent the source from being traced.

Previously, Igor’sLAB had leaked the PCB circuit diagram of the DG2 series mobile version. Comparing the photos this time, it can be found that the GPU packaging is the same. The GPU package size is about 42.5 x 37.5 mm, which is 1593.75 square millimeters. The GPU chip will be smaller than the package. In addition, it is said that its game performance is close to that of GeForce RTX 3080. As for the actual situation, we can only find out when it is released.
