Microsoft announced Windows 7 ESU program to smaller business customers
Last year, Microsoft announced that enterprise customers who wish to continue using the Windows 7 system can purchase the Windows 7 Extended Security Update (ESU) at a fee. The expansion cycle lasts until January 2023, and the fees are charged according to the number of devices and the fees charged will increase year by year, prompting the enterprise to upgrade to Windows 10 system as soon as possible.
Today Microsoft has announced a Windows 7 extended security update for small and medium-sized businesses, so businesses of all sizes can pay for Windows 7 security updates. Beginning December 1, 2019, businesses of any size can purchase Windows 7 ESU through the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program.
Microsoft will also support Office 365 ProPlus on devices with active Windows 7 Extended Security Update (ESU) by January 2023. As a result, customers who purchase Windows 7 ESU will be able to continue to run Office 365 ProPlus.
