Lenovo unveils new Legion Pro 7/5 laptop with AMD Ryzen 9 7950HX/Ryzen 9 7845HX processor
Lenovo launched the new Legion Pro 7 and Legion Pro 5 gaming laptops at CES 2023, equipped with AMD’s newly released 7950HX/Ryzen 9 7845HX processors, RTX 40 series graphics cards, up to 32GB of memory, and 2TB of SSD.
According to notebookcheck, the difference between Legion Pro 7 and Legion Pro 5 is very slight, both laptop screens are 16-inch, 2560*1600 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate IPS panels, with a peak brightness of 500 nits, a response time of 3 milliseconds, and VESA display HDR 400/X-Rite Pantone/Nvidia G-Sync/AMD free Sync certification, the Legion Pro 5 also offers a 165Hz version to choose from. In addition, both notebooks are equipped with 720p/1080p webcams with quick switch control.
The new Legion Pro 7 is equipped with the AMD R9 7950HX flagship processor, while the new Legion Pro 5 can choose R9 7845HX, R7 7745HX, and R5 7645HX, which are relatively low-end processors. In terms of graphics cards, Lenovo has not yet disclosed the specific graphics card model, but Lenovo said that it can be sure that it will be equipped with RTX 40 series mobile graphics cards.
Lenovo Legion Pro 7 can be configured with a maximum of 32GB 6000MT/s DDR5 memory, and the corresponding configuration of Legion Pro 5 is slightly reduced to 5600MT/s. Both laptops offer up to 2TB of NVMe SSDs. The wireless network includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1. The I/O interface includes two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C (supporting DP out and 140W fast charging), three USB Type-A, one HDMI 2.1, and one RJ45 Ethernet port. In terms of battery capacity, the battery capacity of the Legion Pro 7 99.9Wh, and the Legion Pro 5 is 80Wh.
