KB4540673 Update for Windows 10 exists installation failure and blue screen of death
There have been a lot of new issues with the KB4535996 cumulative update previously released by Microsoft, but after all, this update is a beta update so most users are not affected.
Of course, don’t expect the quality of the official version update released by Microsoft to be better, for example, the latest version of the KB4540673 update have the problem after pushing.
This update is mainly for Windows 10 v1903/1909 version. At present, quite a few users have reported installation failure or blue screen of death. It is worth noting that KB4551762, which is used by Microsoft to repair the SMBv3 worm vulnerability, has the same problem.
At present, some users on Microsoft’s official community and social networking sites have begun to report that the latest cumulative update released by Microsoft has failed to install. Installation failures include updates KB4540673 and KB4551762.
After all, the installation failure usually does not affect the normal use of the computer. Do not install this cumulative update for the time being to avoid repeated installation failures wasting time.
Unfortunately, the problem that makes people more headaches is the successful installation but this update causes the blue screen of death problems.
“After installing it I started having BSOD every time I started my PC.
Only solution I had was rolling back to a previous restore points of some days ago.,” explained post author in our comments.
“This March update installed automatically on my devices and it leads to BSOD errors on my gaming PC and my work laptop,” another user wrote.
Currently, Microsoft has not issued a statement on these issues and therefore has not confirmed the existence of these issues, but whether users need to install the update now is more headache.
