Microsoft Surface Pro 8 prototype exposures

The prototype of Microsoft’s upcoming Surface Pro 8 was leaked through eBay. Some users posted photos of Surface Pro 8 engineering samples on eBay, along with screenshots of the configuration part.

The picture shows that the appearance of Surface Pro 8 and Pro 7 has hardly changed. They have the same screen and the same design, mainly because of the upgrade of the configuration.

Unfortunately, this means that the Surface Pro 8 still does not have a Thunderbolt 3 interface. In addition, the 50030 mWh battery of the new machine seems to be larger than the Surface Pro 7 battery (45000mWh).

In the configuration part, the prototype runs Windows 10, the system will be updated in May 2020, equipped with Intel’s 11th-generation Tiger Lake processor, 32GB of memory, 1TB SSD, and Wi-Fi 6 support. The top model uses Intel Tiger Lake Core i7-1165G7 CPU.

Judging from the currently exposed news, Surface Pro 8 can only be regarded as an upgraded version of Surface Pro 7, because the appearance has not changed at all. If you want a major innovation in the design of the Surface, such as a narrower frame, you may wish to consider the Surface Pro X, but the performance of the Snapdragon processor is a shortcoming.
