  • LG’s new 27/45-inch UltraGear series monitors open for pre-order

    LG’s new 27/45-inch UltraGear series gaming monitors are available for pre-order. The models are 27GR95QE and 45GR95QE, starting at $999.

    Both monitors are designed with narrow borders on three sides, and there are LED light bars on the back and sides of the monitors. The monitor stand adopts an adjustable design and supports -5º-15º tilt angle adjustment; -10º-10º rotation angle adjustment and 0-110mm height adjustment, LG said its panel has an anti-glare and low-reflection coating, which can enhance the player’s visual experience in the game while reducing annoying visual interference and reducing eye pressure.

    The LG 27GR95QE uses a 26.5-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a refresh rate of 240Hz, a color gamut covering 98.5% DCI-P3, and a viewing angle of 178º. Due to the inherent advantages of OLED technology, the contrast ratio (DFC) of this panel can reach 1500000:1, and the response time (GTG) is 0.3ms. In terms of interface, LG 27GR95QE has two HDMI interfaces, one DP interface, one headphone jack, one USB upstream port, two USB Type-A downstream interfaces, one SPDIF output interface, and one power jack, but the display is not equipped with Type- C interface and speakers.

    45GR95QE is LG’s first 45-inch curved OLED gaming monitor with 21:9 display ratio and WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution, with a curvature of 800R. Other parameters are similar to 27GR95QE, including 240Hz refresh rate, 0.3ms response time (GtG), DCI-P3 color gamut is also 98.5%, and supports HDR10.

    At present, both monitors are officially open for pre-order at LG, 27GR95QE is priced at $999, and 45GR95QE is priced at $1699.
  • LG & MSI ultra-wide OLED monitors announced

    LG unveiled its new UltraGear OLED gaming monitor, model 45GR95QE, at this year’s IFA 2022 in Berlin, Germany. This is LG’s first 45-inch curved OLED gaming monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio and WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution, 800R curvature, 240Hz refresh rate, and 0.1ms response time (GtG). The DCI-P3 color gamut is 98.5% and supports HDR10. In addition, it is also equipped with HDMI 2.1 interface and a DisplayPort 1.4 interface, supports technologies including variable refresh rate (VRR) and provides functions suitable for multitasking such as PBP and PIP.

    According to VideoCardz, the 45GR95QE monitor will be available for pre-order starting on December 12 at a price of $1699.99 and is expected to be shipped before December 28.
    Today, MSI officially announced that it will bring the Project 491C ultra-wide curved QD-OLED gaming monitor, equipped with a QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. Depending on the model of the product, a 49-inch 21:9 display panel is also used. According to MSI, Project 491C is the world’s first 240Hz ultra-wide curved QD-OLED gaming monitor, which will bring an unparalleled viewing experience.

    MSI did not further disclose the details of the Project 491C ultra-wide curved QD-OLED gaming monitor. The only thing confirmed is that the monitor won the CES Innovation Award. MSI said it is preparing for CES 2023 early next year, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA from January 5 to 8 next year, at which time MSI should officially launch the product.
