  • Intel officially released the Xeon W-3300 series processors and NUC 11 Extreme

Intel announced the launch of the Xeon W-3300 series of processors, including five new products, and hosts equipped with this processor are already available for sale at Intel partners. This is a product made by Intel specifically for high-end workstations. Through the new Sunny Cove kernel architecture, provides excellent performance and extended functions in a single-socket system to improve work efficiency.

The five processors of Xeon W-3300 series processors are W-3375, W-3365, W-3345, W-3335, and W-3323, which are manufactured with 10nm process and LGA 4189 socket. It is configured with up to 38 cores and 76 threads, the frequency is up to 4 GHz, the L3 cache is up to 57MB, the TDP is up to 270W, it supports AVX-512, provides 64 PCIe Gen4 channels, and supports up to 4TB of eight channels DDR4-3200 (ECC) memory, support Optane P5800X solid-state drive. Xeon W-3300 series processors will be used in the home field with the C621A chipset, providing Wi-Fi 6E and Thunderbolt 4 connections.

Intel also announced the launch of NUC 11 Extreme “Beast Canyon” as a highly modular host designed to provide an extraordinary experience for gaming, streaming, and video recording. It is equipped with a complete I/O port, supports full-size discrete graphics, and provides four M.2 slots. Intel said that in the game, users can enjoy smooth, immersive visual effects using NUC 11 Extreme. According to reports, the RGB lighting effects and logos on the front panel of the host support custom designs.

Intel said that NUC 11 Extreme “Beast Canyon” will be available in the third quarter of 2021, and will launch more kits with different configurations at the end of this year. Currently, kits equipped with Core i9-11900KB and i7-11700KB processors will be available for sale. Prices are $1350 and $1150 respectively.
  • Intel NUC 11 Extreme has begun to accept the pre-order

At Computex this year, Intel announced the 8L NUC 11 Extreme “Beast Canyon”, which will be equipped with Tiger Lake-H processors and full-size discrete graphics which will be the successor to NUC 9 Extreme “Ghost Canyon”. Compared with the 5L volume of NUC 9 Extreme, the most direct result of the larger space is that the chassis becomes longer, which means that users can install a full-size PCIe 4.0 high-performance graphics card.

SimplyNUC has opened the pre-order for NUC 11 Extreme, and there are currently two configurations based on two different processors. The basic configuration is equipped with a Core i7-11700KB processor and the price is $1399, while the upgraded configuration is equipped with a Core i9-11900KB processor and the price is $1399. Both configurations come standard with 8GB DDR4-3200 memory and 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD. NUC 11 Extreme’s two SO-DIMM slots can support up to 64GB of memory, and there are three M.2 slots (one of which is directly connected to the CPU), so there is still a lot of room for upgrade.

SimplyNUC said that both hosts can be ordered now and will be shipped in September.
  • Intel NUC 11 Extreme “Beast Canyon” will use Core i9-11900KB

Earlier, Intel has announced the upcoming NUC 11 Extreme “Beast Canyon” at the 2021 Computex which will be equipped with Tiger Lake-H and full-size discrete graphics, and will be the successor to NUC 9 Extreme “Ghost Canyon”.
According to VideoCardz reports, Intel NUC 11 Extreme is equipped with the 11th-generation Core B series that Intel officially announced on the website. This series includes Core i9-11900KB, i7-11700B, i5-11500B, and i3-11100B. It uses a 10nm SuperFin process Tiger Lake, its TDP is 65W, supports DDR4-3200 memory, and is configured with 16 PCIe Gen4 channels. Of course, Beast Canyon will use a Core i9-11900KB processor.

In the exposed photos, you can see that the Element with the height of the dual PCIe slots will still integrate onboard CPU, memory, storage devices, and other components, and support Thunderbolt, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB, and other functions. This will be the core part of Beast Canyon. There is also a PCIe x4 slot and a PCIe x16 slot.

As of now, Intel has not further announced the relevant specifications of the NUC 11 Extreme “Beast Canyon”, and the exact release time.

  • Intel is about to launch NUC 11 Extreme with Tiger Lake-H and discrete graphics

Intel is about to launch NUC 11 Extreme “Beast Canyon”, which will be equipped with Tiger Lake-H and discrete graphics. In recent years, many players have been pursuing the relatively small size of the console, but also require as strong a performance configuration as possible. Many Intel NUC has been sought after.

According to VideoCardz, the rendering of Intel NUC 11 Extreme “Beast Canyon” has been exposed. Intel’s new host is 8 liter in size and will be equipped with Tiger Lake-H processors, including Core i5 and i7 series, and the highest configuration suffix “HK” unlocked series. The host supports dual-channel DDR4-3200 memory, or devices with up to three M.2 slots, and supports PCIe Gen4 standard. At the same time, it will also provide a Thunderbolt 4 interface, which supports up to three 4K display outputs. In addition, WiFi6, Bluetooth 5, and even 10Gbps Ethernet interfaces will be configured, which can be said to be quite complete.

Intel has not yet determined which graphics card it will be equipped with, but it will support full-size discrete graphics cards. Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series or AMD Radeon RX 6000 series are both possible, and there is no mention of whether it will support Intel’s own DG2 series of discrete graphics cards. As for the specific GPU model, it is estimated that it will take some time to determine.

It is expected that in the keynote speech of the upcoming Computex 2021 exhibition, Intel will reveal more information about NUC 11 Extreme, and it is not many days away.
