IBM launches Video Streaming mobile app

In order to maintain effective contact with this part of the staff away from the headquarters, some special tools are needed. Recently, IBM Watson Media launched a new Video Streaming mobile video application. As a broadcast tool, it provides enterprises with an end-to-end, high-security solution to provide real-time video streaming to iOS/Android devices.

As an extension of existing enterprise video streaming solutions, IBM hopes that Video Streaming will provide an on-demand experience that connects employees’ desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Based on this, companies can create a seamless high-quality real-time broadcast environment for employees, not only to quickly increase productivity but also at relatively low cost. Enterprises can also fully control video content creation, authentication, data encryption, and backup to ensure the overall security of the system.

David Mowrey, vice president of product and development at Watson Media, said in a blog post:

“Historically, live-streaming video has required the support of professional production teams to deliver high quality video content. With the IBM Video Streaming app, IBM Watson Media makes it easier for companies to create and share exceptional video content on mobile devices, using it as a self-service live streaming tool without sacrificing quality. In fact, most mobile phones today can produce higher quality videos than laptop or desktop computers’ cameras, with the newest phones reaching up to 60 frames per second.”
