Graphics card manufacturer Nvidia has officially announced the launch of the NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti version, which is also Nvidia’s latest flagship graphics card to be launched.
The hardware configuration and performance of the RTX 3080 Ti version are between the RTX 3090 and RTX 3080. More precisely, the RTX 3080 Ti is actually closer to the RTX 3090.
Therefore, in terms of price, this new graphics card also exceeded our expectation of $999 to reach $1,199, while the suggested retail price of the RTX 3080 is only $699.
As for how to choose these graphics cards, it depends on the actual needs of users. If you are willing to spend an extra $300, you can get 12GB of video memory.
From the hardware parameters, the performance of RTX 3080 Ti is very close to that of RTX 3090. If there is an obvious difference, it is the difference in video memory (RTX 3090 with 24GB GDDR6X).
In other words, the 12GB GDDR6X’s video memory is worth $300, and larger video memory may allow you to run more high-load tasks and improve task processing efficiency.
But if you are really willing to spend more to buy RTX 3090, please note that this graphics card needs a larger chassis because of the cooling fan.
However, the RTX 3080 Ti with reduced video memory is much smaller than the RTX 3090, so should we worry about the heat dissipation of the RTX 3080 Ti?
In addition, RTX 3080 Ti/3090 all need a 750W power supply, and their power consumption is up to 350W, so a stable power supply must be obtained when running at full load.

When miners are rushing to buy the higher-performance RTX 3090 or the more cost-effective 3080/3070/3060Ti, maybe 3080Ti can be bought by consumers?
