  • The Intel Xeon W-3300 series has appeared on the supplier page, Up to 38 cores

Intel has already introduced the third-generation Xeon Scalable processor for data centers, that is, Ice Lake-SP, which means that the Xeon W processor used in workstations will not wait too long. Recently, a supplier has listed several new-generation Xeon W series processors in its online store. These will be the new competitors of AMD Ryzen Threadripper (Pro) series processors.

According to the PPT leaked a few days ago, it can be understood that although the Ice Lake-SP has a maximum of 40 cores, the highest specification of the Intel Xeon W-3300 series is to configure 38 cores and 76 threads. However, compared with the Xeon W-3200 (Cascade Lake) series, the number of cores in the highest configuration has increased by 36%, the L3 cache has been increased to 57MB, an increase of 57%, and the manufacturing process has been increased from 14nm to 10nm.

According to Twitter user @momomo_us, the Xeon W-3300 series listed by CompSource, the lowest-end model is Xeon W-3323, priced at $1071.45, and the highest-end model is W-3375, priced at $6196.32. However, the supplier did not write out the complete specifications of the Xeon W-3300 series.
  • Noctua product roadmap: New generation of NH-D15 will be launched next year

Noctua from Austria, its various heat dissipation products are very popular with users. Recently, Noctua released a new product roadmap, starting from the third quarter of 2021 and ending in the second quarter of 2022. There is a lot of interesting information, from the new generation NH-D15 to the CPU cooler suitable for the LGA 4189 socket, and even the new cooling fan.

Noctua said that the product roadmap does not represent the launch of the final product and may be updated appropriately, or there may be delays. In addition, Noctua did not write all the specific models that will be launched, such as the CPU cooler suitable for LGA 4189 sockets. According to the business scope of Noctua, there should be many styles of coolers for workstations and servers.

According to the plan of the product roadmap, Noctua will launch a new generation of NH-D15 in 2022, not the second half of 2021 as previously rumored. Due to the outstanding performance of NH-D15, this product has attracted much attention, and it is not easy to make a breakthrough on the basis of an already excellent product. I believe that Noctua will use the latest and best fan and radiator design and manufacturing technology on it.
In the third quarter of this year, Noctua will launch a CPU cooler suitable for the LGA 4189 socket for Cooper Lake-SP and Ice Lake-SP processors, and it may be compatible with the LGA 4677 socket. In the fourth quarter of this year, Noctua will also launch black versions of NF-A12 x25 and NH-U12A. At the beginning of next year, Noctua will also launch a white color version.
