  • Asus ROG Phone 6 features a 165 Hz AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8+ Gen1

    After Qualcomm launched the flagship chip Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 in the second half of the year, manufacturers quickly followed and officially announced their new high-end models. Including ASUS ROG, its gaming phone ROG Phone 6 has been confirmed to be released at 20:00 pm on July 5th. According to the latest news officially released by ASUS ROG, the machine has been confirmed to be equipped with an AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate.


    A few days ago, ASUS ROG officially announced that ROG Phone 6 will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor. It is understood that the processor is no longer handed over to Samsung as the previous generation, but based on TSMC’s 4nm process, using the “1+3+4” core architecture. One large core is Cortex X2, three large cores are Cortex A710, four small cores are Cortex A510, and the GPU is Adreno 730. Compared with the previous generation, while the performance is improved, the power consumption has also been significantly reduced, and the overall chip power consumption has been reduced by 15%.

    The content of this update is the screen. The ROG Phone 6 uses a 165Hz Samsung AMOLED screen, which is a lot higher than the 144Hz screen on the ROG Phone 5s Pro released by ROG last year. For gamers, the 165Hz refresh rate brings a more comfortable picture experience.

    With the support of a new generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor and 165Hz AMOLED screen, ROG Phone 6 is very worth looking forward to at least in terms of game experience.

  • Asus ROG Phone 6 confirmed to launch on July 5

    Recently, according to the official news released by ASUS ROG, they will hold a press conference at 20:00 pm on July 5th to launch a new generation of ROG Phone 6 series smartphones.

    The last time ASUS ROG launched a new phone was the ROG Phone 5S and 5S Pro in August last year. The Snapdragon 888+ processor was used at that time, and the ROG Phone 5 released in March was equipped with the Snapdragon 888 processor. But this year, after the release of Snapdragon 8 Gen1, ASUS ROG did not launch a related mobile phone, which may be because its performance is not well recognized.

    Until the second half of this year, Qualcomm officially launched a high-end mobile platform for the second half of the year, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, which adopts a new process and has higher performance and energy efficiency. ASUS ROG has finally announced the new phone, and the new ROG Phone 6 series will undoubtedly carry it.

    The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor will increase the operating clock to 3.2GHz. Compared with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, both the CPU and GPU computing performance are improved by 10%, while the power consumption is reduced by 30%, and the overall power consumption is reduced by 15%.
