You can run Windows 10 through a virtual machine on iPhone X
Earlier we mentioned that a team is developing a virtualization software called UTM. This virtualization software’s main goal is to successfully run Windows and Linux distros on Apple’s iOS devices.
However, because Apple prohibits such virtualization software from being submitted to the app store, for the time being, this virtualization software can only be installed through sideloading.
In the latest test, the development team successfully runs the Windows 10 desktop version on the iPhone X that has not been jailbroken, and even the control panel and drawing work normally.

However, due to hardware compatibility and performance issues, although it can be run, it is still relatively stuck. For example, it may take about 30 seconds to open a file explorer.
In the latest test, the development team tried to bring the desktop version of Windows 10 to iPhone X. After more than 2 hours of installation, the development team reached its goal.
The branch version used this time is Windows 10 Version 1607, the anniversary update. Please note that this version is not the ARM version developed by Microsoft.
Since the Anniversary Update is relatively old, the accompanying content is less, so the startup time is relatively fast. The startup time of the entire virtual machine takes about 20 minutes.
It only takes a few seconds to start some basic applications, but some applications, such as the control panel and drawing, take about half a minute to start.
The help document shows that the biggest problem with UTM at present is the problem of signatures. Due to Apple restrictions, UTM is unlikely to be able to upload to the application store for users to download.
If you are a developer and have an Apple developer account, signing is still easy, but users without a developer account need to find a way to sign for themselves.
The good news is that the third-party application store AltStore already supports UTM, so users can install UTM as long as they successfully install AltStore on iOS devices. Users who are interested in tossing can click here to see how AltStore is installed.
