X670E Pro RS motherboard appears on ASRock website

In fact, at this year’s Taipei Computer Show, many manufacturers showed their AMD X670 motherboards, however, the specific specifications of the motherboard have not been released. The release time of these specifications depends on AMD, but as the release time gets closer, you will always see information about new motherboards in some channels. For example, the official website of ASRock released the product introduction page for the X670E Pro RS motherboard.

X670E Pro RS motherboard

Of course, ASRock did not show the complete product information, and this motherboard was actually shown at the Taipei Computer Show. From the limited product introduction text, it can be seen that the X670E Pro RS motherboard supports AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors and provides four DDR5 memory slots. The motherboard provides a PCI-E 5.0 x16 slot, a PCI-E 5.0 x4 M.2 interface, and supports USB 3.2 Gen 2*2 Type-C interface.

It can be seen that the motherboard has only one PCI-E x16 slot, which is the PCI-E 5.0 slot provided by the CPU. The other two should be PCI-E 4.0 x1 provided by FCH, and the M.2 interface should have 5. The one marked BLAZING M.2 should be the PCI-E 5.0 x4 port provided by the CPU. The Hyper M.2 port should also be the x4 port directly connected to the CPU, but I don’t know if it is 4.0 or 5.0. It is not equipped with a radiator, the other three M.2 ports are provided by FCH, two of which are hidden under the M.2 radiator. We can also see that there is an M.2 port for WiFi network cards, six SATA ports, and a front USB-C port, I don’t know what the specifications are.

The back panel provides one DP port and one HDMI port, four USB 2.0, four USB 3.2 Gen 1, and one USB 3.2 Gen 2. The USB-C port should be USB 3.2 Gen 2*2.  Judging from the markings on the back panel, the motherboard provides WiFi 6E wireless network and a 2.5G wired network, and the audio interface has only two 3.5mm and one SPDIF digital output.
