Microsoft unexpectedly pushed Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17751 to official users

Yesterday, some user used Windows got the new version of the Windows 10 test preview version appeared in the notification centre on the right side of the desktop.

Fortunately, the current Windows 10 2018 October Update is nearing completion of development, so even if you download and install the Insider Preview, you should not encounter too many problems.

Microsoft acknowledges an unexpected situation:

Microsoft has admitted that this has happened after the user’s feedback, but the company also stressed that only a small number of official users have accidentally received pushes.

Microsoft said that the company had corrected it immediately after learning about the situation, and now all official users will not receive the Insider Preview push in the notification centre.

Also, since this is an error situation, even if the user clicks on the download and install, it will not be updated, and the user must have participated in the test plan before downloading.

There have been too many accidents on Microsoft in the update:

This kind of accidental push of the new version is not the first time Microsoft has appeared. For example, many business version branch users have received updates directly from the targeted channel.

There are also users who explicitly set up not to receive the new version but still receive the push after the new version is released. The user is updated because the system itself is automatically downloaded and installed.

These unexpected situations happen almost entirely in the Windows 10 update system; I don’t know if it is unexpected or Microsoft wants to mention the new version coverage.
