Vivaldi 2.2 release: improves accessibility, navigation and media experience
Vivaldi is a Chromium-based web browser for professional users and computer enthusiasts. One and a half months after the launch of Vivaldi 2.1, Vivaldi Technologies officially launched Vivaldi 2.2, introducing PiP, more custom toolbars and smarter label management.
Following Google Chrome, Vivaldi 2.2 introduced a picture-in-picture (PiP) feature that allows users to view HTML5 videos in a floating window while doing other things on their PCs. Users can enable picture-in-picture by right-clicking on the video or by double-clicking on a specific video hosting site such as YouTube.
In order to provide a better video streaming experience, Vivaldi 2.2 enhances Netflix’s support for Linux users and can watch videos on video hosting websites such as Netflix or Amazon Prime Video on Vivaldi without any hindrance, and the web browser will automatically get the title. Encrypted media extension for Widevine.
