Vivaldi 2.10 releases: user agent changes, adds more style

Vivaldi Technologies today officially released the Vivaldi 2.10 stable version which is available for GNU/Linux, macOS, and Windows desktop platforms. A major change was introduced in the new version to provide out-of-the-box compatibility for websites. A major adjustment was made to the UA (User-Agent) string in Vivaldi 2.10, addressing a significant issue of the user agent that will provide its users the best website compatibility while browsing.

After upgrading Vivaldi 2.10, users can browse all websites smoothly without any incompatibility issues. For more technical details on why Vivaldi changed its user agent, we recommend checking out a detailed blog post by Vivaldi’s head of the quality inspection.

This version also introduces new customization options, so that users can change the theme of Vivaldi to match the desktop operating system and be able to automatically switch between light theme and dark theme according to the system settings. To take advantage of this new feature and make Vivaldi follow the default system theme, users will need to go to Settings> Themes> Scheduled Themes> Use Operating System Theme.
