US Department of Defense advises Apple users to skip iOS 13.0 and wait iOS 13.1

Apple has pushed iOS 13 to Phone 6S and newer models with new features such as long-awaited dark mode and enhanced privacy controls. “iOS 13 brings new capabilities to the apps you use every day, with rich updates to Photos and Maps, and privacy-protecting features like Sign In with Apple, all while delivering faster performance,” said Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering. “We’re excited for customers to experience what’s coming to iPhone this fall and can’t wait for them to see how great everything looks in Dark Mode.”

In addition, Apple will be scheduled for the iOS 13.1 update on September 24. The reason is that the new iPhone pre-installed iOS 13.0 has been criticized by many reviewers for being full of bugs. In addition to user-submitted crashes, the US Department of Defense also issued a warning to iOS device users, hoping that you should not install iOS 13.0 to avoid being affected by known vulnerabilities until Apple pushed iOS 13.1.

The US Department of Defense (via INC) sent the following email to its users:

DOD Mobility strongly encourages you to NOT update, to avoid known Apple iOS 13 bugs. Apple is expected to release iOS 13.1 at the end of September 2019 to address bugs. DMUC users can expect follow-on messaging within the next two weeks with updated guidance.
