TSMC May 2022 Revenue

TSMC expects revenue in the second quarter of 2022 to be between $17.6 billion and $18.2 billion, with full-year 2022 revenue growing by about 30%, with a gross profit margin of about 58%. In 2021, TSMC’s revenue increased by 24.9%, which means that there will be a more substantial revenue increase in 2022. Although TSMC has a good performance, its recent performance in the stock market has not been good. After entering 2022, the market value has shrunk by more than 10%.

TSMC is still investing on a large scale. The total investment this year is expected to be between $40 billion and $44 billion, and it is expected to invest more than $40 billion in 2023 to expand production capacity and upgrade technology. Although the world faces high inflation risks, TSMC does not seem to be concerned and believes that it will not have a direct impact on the semiconductor industry.

In addition, chip demand has shown signs of slowing in the consumer sector dominated by smartphones and PCs, but areas such as electric vehicles and high-performance computing are still growing. At present, TSMC’s production capacity is at full capacity, which is likely to continue until 2023. At the same time, TSMC will also adjust its product portfolio according to the chip production plan to meet the needs of customers.
