Transporter is now available on the Mac App Store

Apple today announced that the Transporter app for developers is now available on the Mac App Store. Transporter is an easy way to submit content to Apple. Developers can use it to easily send apps, music, movies, TV shows or books to Apple for distribution in the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Books or iTunes Store.

With Transporter you can:

  • Upload your .ipa or .pkg files to App Store Connect.
  • View delivery progress, including validation warnings, errors, and delivery logs, so you can quickly fix any issues.
  • See a history of past deliveries, including date and time.

Previously, developers could only upload their apps or content to App Store Connect using command-line tools. The release of the Transporter is expected to simplify the process of uploading files to the App Store Connect. Developers or publishers can use Transporter to upload .ipa or .pkg files to the App Store Connect and monitor the progress of the delivery, just as if the file was transferred in macOS.

It is important to note that users need an App Store Connect / iTunes Connect/company account to use Transporter.
