Transcend Introduces MTE250S M.2 SSD

Transcend announced the launch of the MTE250S M.2 SSD. Transcend says the proven performance of the new SSDs will give gamers, content creators, and software developers a huge boost to help them excel in their respective fields.
MTE250S series SSD adopts PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, 3D NAND flash memory, and 8-channel main control chip, and is equipped with a DRAM cache. The form factor is M.2 2280, which provides two capacities of 1TB and 2TB. It supports the NVMe 1.4 specification, with a maximum sequential read speed of 7200 MB/s, a maximum sequential write speed of 6500 MB/s, a maximum random read of 530K IOPS, and a maximum random write of 420K IOPS.

To meet the needs of the most demanding tasks, the MTE250S series SSD is equipped with an ultra-thin graphene heatsink, which has excellent thermal management and provides sufficient stability under high-speed operation. With its built-in dynamic thermal management mechanism, the temperature of the SSD can be well monitored and controlled to ensure that the SSD will not affect system performance due to overheating. To enhance data integrity, MTE250S series SSDs feature a Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) ECC algorithm to improve storage reliability.

Transcend provides free SSD monitoring and optimization software “SSD Scope” for MTE250S series SSD, which integrates all the required monitoring functions, including status display, S.M.A.R.T. analysis, data erasure, firmware update, TRIM startup, and more. By integrating these important functions together, users can ensure that the MTE250S series SSD used by users is in the best condition.

The MTE250S series SSD enjoys a five-year limited warranty, but the specific time to market and price are not yet clear.
