The ARM version of the 12-inch MacBook: starting at $849, butterfly keyboard
After Apple announced that it would launch the first ARM version of the MacBook this year, the rumors surrounding this device have never been reduced. It is reported that Apple’s first ARM-based notebook computer will be a 12-inch MacBook.
Last month, we reported on this device and mentioned that a person familiar with the matter revealed that Apple had set the price of this device at $799, with the intention of relying on a low-price strategy to occupy the market, but today’s new revelations seem to have changed all this.
Recently, whistleblower Komiya broke the news on Twitter that the ARM version of the 12-inch MacBook will be equipped with Apple’s self-developed A14X Bionic chip, and the main long battery life is also reflected in the battery life data, which is a full 20 hours.

Since the overall mold is similar to the x86 version of the 12-inch MacBook released a few years ago, the ARM version of the 12-inch MacBook will also be equipped with a butterfly keyboard, which is reported to be the fourth-generation butterfly keyboard.
In addition, the ARM version of the 12-inch MacBook will provide 8GB and 16GB memory size options; solid-state drive capacity will provide 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB three options; equipped with a 12-inch retina display; the camera is 720p Facetime HD; only provides one Type-C interface; weighs about two pounds.
The final price has some adjustments from the previous revelations. The price of the basic version has been adjusted to US$849, but the student discount is US$799.
