The 6th generation iPad mini with new designs, bigger screens, and faster chips may be launched this fall

According to reports from Bloomberg and MacRumors, the 6th generation iPad mini will switch to smaller bezels. The home button is removed, which is actually the reduced version of the 4th generation iPad Air, which is close to the full screen + flat design of the iPad Pro, but the Face ID sensor is not used. The original fingerprint reader will be integrated into the top power supply key.

In this way, the new design of the iPad mini can use a larger 8.5 or 9-inch screen, and the internal hardware performance will be faster. It should be equipped with A14, although Apple will bring A15 in the second half of this year. But according to the positioning of the iPad mini, it is unlikely to use the latest chip. As for whether the cellular data version of the new iPad mini will support the 5G network, it is uncertain. Currently, in the iPad, only the high-end iPad Pro Apple supports this next-generation high-speed mobile network.
