Team Group T-FORCE will launch PCIe 5.0 SSD

Team Group announced that its gaming brand T-FORCE will debut a new generation of PCIe 5.0 SSD, leaping into a new era of SSD with breakthrough technology. With the advent of the era of high-speed storage driven by massive data, the industry is also meeting market demands through higher-standard storage devices. Among them, storage devices based on the PCIe 5.0 standard will be the target pursued by many manufacturers in the future.

This time, Team Group’s PCIe 5.0 SSD belongs to T-FORCE’s CARDEA series products. Its sequential read and write speeds will reach 13,000MB/s and 12,000MB/s, and its storage capacity will be as high as 4TB, making it one of the most efficient flagship PCIe 5.0 SSDs on the market. This T-FORCE PCIe 5.0 SSD will also support the new NVMe 2.0, and will also introduce the exclusive technology of Team Group to improve the durability and service life of the SSD. Team Group believes that the strong performance of T-FORCE PCIe 5.0 SSD will provide strong support for new-generation usage scenarios such as games, video streaming, and virtual reality.

Last year, Phison Chief Technology Officer Sebastien Jean talked about the future development trend of SSDs. It is expected that products based on the new generation of PCIe 5.0 controller chips should appear within this year, and they will all be equipped with radiators. As a major manufacturer of SSD controller chips, Phison’s statement largely indicates the future development direction of PCIe 5.0 SSDs.

According to Team Group Technology, T-FORCE PCIe 5.0 SSD will do targeted optimization work for the new generation PCIe 5.0 standard products, and heat dissipation design is one of them. In the future, Team Group will launch a variety of high-efficiency cooling solutions, and work with major motherboard manufacturers to improve the specifications and technologies of PCIe 5.0 SSDs based on market demand, so that they have efficient and stable performance.

Team Group stated that the new generation of T-FORCE CARDEA series PCIe 5.0 SSDs will be mass-produced and launched in the third quarter of 2022.
