SteelSeries Introduces Apex 9 Series Keyboards

SteelSeries announced the launch of the new Apex 9 series keyboards, offering two specifications of TKL and Mini, both of which support RGB lighting effects. SteelSeries says the Apex 9 series is built from the ground up and ergonomically designed to help gamers create fast, customizable, esports-ready keyboards, and it caters to the increasing demand of professional gaming players to use smaller keyboards to free up more desktop space to control the mouse.

According to SteelSeries, it is the first to bring optical axes to the award-winning Apex series, using the new SteelSeries OptiPoint technology. The new technology provides the best performance and design with hot-swappable optical switches, zero jitters, 33% faster startup speed than other keyboards that also use optical switches, and a response time of just 0.2ms. The trigger key travel is adjustable at two points, 1mm for quick taps, and 1.5mm for precision, so as to adapt to any game and give players an advantage in the game.

The Apex 9 series uses the same aluminum frame as the aircraft, and the shaft is replaceable, so players can customize it according to their preferences and needs. The Double Shot PBT keycaps used are specially designed to not only resist fading and slipping but also have a better feel. Both keyboards feature a three-stage adjustable footrest for maximum comfort when typing with your hands. Players can also customize the keyboard through the SteelSeries GG platform.

The Apex 9 series of keyboards will gradually be available around the world, with the Apex 9 TKL and Apex 9 Mini priced at $139.99 and $129.99 in North America, respectively.
