However, for gamers, it is a hassle to update the firmware for the DualSense wireless controller without a PlayStation 5. But now Sony has launched a firmware update tool for Windows called Firmware updater for DualSense wireless controller. This firmware update tool can be used on Windows 11 and 64-bit Windows 10 systems. In the future, players who want to update the firmware for the DualSense wireless controller can use a USB-C cable to connect to the PC.

Although the DualShock 4 wireless controller for PlayStation 4 has a huge number of gamers and is not outdated even now, Sony has never released a similar tool for the DualShock 4 wireless controller. It was only with the PlayStation 5 era that the DualSense wireless controller became active.

In the past year or so, Sony has made many updates to the DualSense wireless controller, with better applicability, allowing more players to use the DualSense wireless controller on different devices. For example, the new PS Remote Play app for Android 12 users allows them to use the DualSense wireless controller to play games or play remotely.
