Some Nvidia RTX 30 SUPER GPU parameters were leaked

Recently, there is news that NVIDIA will release RTX 30 SUPER series graphics cards in January next year. Although this news means that mobile platforms will have RTX 30 SUPER series GPUs and desktop platforms may not have them, but this does not prevent others from breaking the news. Recently, some people have released the specs that are suspected to be the RTX 30 SUPER series desktop platform GPU.

This revelation was released by the tech expert @kopite7kimi on Twitter, and this person’s previous news about the NVIDIA Ampere architecture was relatively accurate. He released some parameters of RTX 3060 SUPER, RTX 3070 SUPER, RTX 3080 SUPER, and RTX 3090 SUPER on Twitter. However, even he himself is a little uncertain about these parameters, so everyone should take a look at them as rumors. And even if these parameters are true, it does not mean that they are the final specifications of the RTX 30 SUPER series PGU given by NVIDIA.
Hash-Rate Limited GeForce RTX 3060

Let’s take a look at RTX 3090 SUPER first. Compared with the current RTX 3090, the new RTX 3090 SUPER has 2 more SM units, the number of CUDA cores has increased from 10496 to 10752, and the number of Tensor Cores and RT Cores has also increased by 8 and 2. In terms of video memory, RTX 3090 SUPER may continue to use 24GB GDDR6X video memory.

RTX 3080 SUPER also adds 2 sets of SM units, the number of CUDA cores has increased from 8704 to 8960, and the number of Tensor Cores and RT Cores has also increased. But the most surprising thing is its video memory because the news revealed that the RTX 3080 SUPER will have 12GB of video memory, which is the same as the RTX 3080 Ti.

As for the RTX 3070 SUPER, it is the only GPU that has not added CUDA core, Tensor Core, and RT Core in this revelation. On the contrary, RTX 3070 SUPER just changed the video memory from GDDR6 to GDDR6X.

The last is RTX 3060 SUPER. The increase in the number of CUDA cores of this GPU is the largest among SUPER graphics cards this time, from 3584 to 5632, Tensor Cores from 112 to 176, and RT Cores from 28 to 44. There is no change in video memory. If the news is true, then the performance of RTX 3060 SUPER is likely to be flat or even surpass RTX 3060 Ti.
