Japanese cooling manufacturer Scythe, known for introducing a variety of personalized coolers, recently announced the release of the new Big Shuriken 3 Rev B top-flow CPU cooler. This is a revised version of the previous Big Shuriken 3, which retains the basic design of the original product. It is a CPU cooler suitable for small hosts, and it is relatively small and thin.

According to TechPowerup, the Big Shuriken 3 Rev B top-flow CPU cooler features a redesigned, new Kaze Flex II Slim 120 fan with a metal shield. Compared to the previous Big Shuriken 3, the Big Shuriken 3 Rev B can provide better cooling performance. The new Kaze Flex II Slim 120 fan is a 120mm fan with a thickness of 15mm, using a 4Pin PWM interface and rotating between 300 RPM and 1800 RPM. The airflow is between 8 CFM and 48 CFM, the air pressure is up to 1.36 mm H₂O, and the maximum fan noise is 27.8 dBA.
The Big Shuriken 3 Rev B CPU cooler package also comes with the new Thermal Elixir 2 TIM grease, as well as a mounting kit that supports the
Intel LGA 1700 platform for users building Alder Lake processors. Thermal Elixir 2 TIM grease has a thermal conductivity of 3.5W/m·K and is an aluminum-zinc-based compound that requires no aging time to achieve the highest heat dissipation efficiency.
Scythe has not yet provided pricing for the Big Shuriken 3 Rev B top-flow CPU cooler, as well as time to market.
