NVIDIA today released the GeForce Game Ready 497.09 WHQL driver, officially confirming the upcoming GeForce RTX 2060 12GB. Although Nvidia has not officially mentioned this product, it appeared with the new version of the driver, indicating that it is not far from meeting consumers. It is reported that the release date of GeForce RTX 2060 12GB is December 7, 2021.
At the same time, Nvidia also listed the GeForce RTX 2060 12GB on its official website and provided relevant specifications.
GeForce RTX 2060 12GB TU106 GPU based on Turing architecture, manufactured with 12nm process, with 2176 CUDA cores, the base frequency is 1470 MHz, and the acceleration frequency is 1650 MHz, which is the same as GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER. Its video memory width is 192 bits, equipped with 12GB of GDDR6 video memory, the rate is 14 Gbps, and the video memory bandwidth is 336GB/s. Compared with GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER, the memory bandwidth is reduced by 112GB/s, but the capacity is increased by 4GB.
Due to the increase in video memory capacity, the TDP of GeForce RTX 2060 12GB is 185W, which is an increase of 25W and 10W respectively compared to GeForce RTX 2060/RTX 2060 SUPER. Nvidia has not yet revealed the pricing of GeForce RTX 2060 12GB, but in a brief statement provided to The Verge, it confirmed that this product is an advanced version of GeForce RTX 2060, and the pricing will also be reflected. It is understood that GeForce RTX 2060 12GB should have the Founders Editions version.
