Radeon RX 6900 XTX leaks: Adopt Navi 21 XTXH GPU plus high frequency video memory
The rumors about Radeon RX 6900 XTX are not a day or two. In fact, some manufacturers have introduced graphics cards using Navi 21 XTXH GPU before. Those graphics cards have higher frequencies than the standard version of RX 6900XT, but the name is still Radeon RX 6900 XT. So what about RX 6900XTX?
In addition to the GPU frequency changes, the matching video memory frequency is also higher. RX 6900 XTX will use 18Gbps GDDR6 memory, of course the capacity will remain at 16GB. Compared with the current 16Gbps RX 6900 XT, the frequency has increased by 12.5%, and the memory bandwidth will increase to 576GB/s. With the increase of GPU and video memory frequency, power consumption will definitely increase. Now the TGP of RX 6900 XT is 300W, and it is expected that RX 6900 XTX will rise to 350W.
No surprises, RX 6900 XTX should be a variant of Navi 21 XTXH GPU plus high-frequency GDDR6 memory. At present, the GPU used by the RX 6900 XT has already opened all the CUs of Navi 21, so the core scale will not change. This frequency increase is of little significance to the retail market, and there are already many water-cooled versions of the RX 6900 XT on sale, so this RX 6900 XTX is likely to be only for the OEM market.
