Q4OS 2.4 released, based-Debian distribution


Q4OS 2.4 released, Q4OS is a Debian-based lightweight Linux distribution.

Q4OS is a Linux distribution based on Debian desktop, which is designed to provide a traditional-style user interface (Trinity) and simple accessories, and to provide a stable application programming interfaces to support sophisticated third-party applications, such as Google Chrome, VirtualBox, development tools. The system is also useful for virtual cloud environments, thanks to its very low hardware requirements.

According to the Debian 9 extension, the release released a new stable branch Q4OS 2.4. Q4OS 2.4 code-named “Scorpion (Scorpion)”. This is a long-term supported version that supports at least five years of security patches and software updates. Q4OS 2.4 is based on the Debian 9.9.2 and Trinity 14.0.5 desktop environments, which are suitable for 64-bit and 32-bit / i686pae computers, as well as i386 systems, without PAE extensions. The official said it would release Q4OS 2.4 64-bit and 32-bit ARM architecture version.
