According to Twitter user
@momomo_us, the first graphics card series of the Intel Arc brand will be named “Arc aXXX”, where “a” represents the first-generation GPU under the brand, which is Alchemist. Judging from the leaked information, Intel’s discrete graphics card is not complicated in naming, and even simpler than many people expected. According to the Intel Arc brand roadmap previously announced by Intel, the second generation of the Xe-HPG architecture in the future will be Battlemage, the third generation will be Celestial, and the next will be the new Xe architecture Druid. It can be expected that “Arc aXXX” is followed by “Arc bXXX”, then “Arc cXXX”, and then “Arc dXXX”.
According to recent reports, there will be three Arc aXXX graphics cards that will be unveiled on the desktop platform in the first quarter of next year. They are the flagship product Xe-HPG 512EU to compete with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070; the second is the mid-range product Xe-HPG 384EU, which uses the simplified core of the flagship GPU. The last is the entry-level Xe-HPG 128EU, which neither Nvidia nor AMD pays much attention to, and lacks the corresponding new architecture products.
