Nvidia releases RTX 3060 8GB and RTX 3060 Ti GDDR6X

Although NVIDIA has not officially issued an announcement before, from the relevant documents of the GeForce Game Ready 522.25 WHQL driver to the launch of new partner products, it’s no secret that there are multiple GeForce RTX 30-series refreshed models.

With the release of the latest GeForce Game Ready 526.47 WHQL driver from Nvidia, it also brought the announcement of the new graphics card, announcing that starting in November, players can purchase GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GDDR6X and GeForce RTX 3060 8GB from global partners. The former will have faster video memory, the latter will enrich players’ choices, and the new version of the driver has also provided support. Interestingly, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with the GA102 didn’t appear in the announcement.

Nvidia also updated the data of the two GPUs on the official website. GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GDDR6X changes only in video memory, due to the replacement of GDDR6X, the speed is increased from 14 Gbps to 19 Gbps, the memory bandwidth is increased from 448 GB/s to 608 GB/s, an increase of about 36%, and the power consumption of the graphics card is still 200W. The GeForce RTX 3060 8GB is also a change in video memory. The original video memory bit width is reduced to 128 bits, the video memory bandwidth is reduced from 360 GB/s to 240 GB/s, and the power consumption of the graphics card is still 170W.

According to Nvidia, the partners’ GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GDDR6X and GeForce RTX 3060 8GB graphics cards will arrive in large quantities next month, however, some manufacturers have already started shipping, and related products can be seen in the market. Perhaps with these new graphics cards, Nvidia and its partners can speed up the cleanup of GeForce RTX 30-series GPUs.
