Nvidia releases new firmware for GeForce RTX 3060/RTX 3080 Ti to fix DisplayID problem
Perhaps many users don’t know that Nvidia has two GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs encountering display ID issues, causing screen display issues during startup. Obviously, NVIDIA is very aware of this problem, and now there is a corresponding solution, but the firmware update is required.

According to Nvidia’s description, when connected to a DisplayPort monitor using DisplayID, a blank screen may appear at startup until the operating system loads. If you are sure that you encounter such a situation, you can use the official firmware update tool provided by NVIDIA, which should be resolved by automatically updating the vBIOS. The method of operation is similar to the tool previously released by NVIDIA to enable Resizable BAR support. In addition, Nvidia did not list other changes brought about by the firmware update.
If you are currently experiencing a blank screen, please try one of the following workarounds in order to run the tool:
-Boot using DVI or HDMI
-Boot using a different monitor
-Change boot mode from UEFI to Legacy
-Boot using an alternate graphics source (secondary or integrated graphics card)
