NVIDIA has asked AIB partners to suspend production of RTX 3090 Ti

At CES 2022, NVIDIA introduced GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. This card uses a full GA102 core, with 84 groups of SM units and 10752 CUDA cores, the base frequency is 1560 MHz, the acceleration frequency is 1860 MHz, and it is equipped with 24GB of GDDR6X video memory, with a speed of 21 Gbps, plus a 384-bit memory bandwidth, the theoretical memory bandwidth exceeds 1 TB/s, but the TDP of the graphics card is as high as 450W, and the public version of the card will use a 12-pin power supply interface.

However, it should be noted that NVIDIA has never announced a release date for the RTX 3090 Ti, only that more information about the graphic card will be announced later this month. According to TweakTown, NVIDIA has now asked AIB partners to suspend production of RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards. In fact, this card should be released on January 27 according to the original plan, but NVIDIA is temporarily decided to postpone the release, the reason may be that there are problems with the BIOS and hardware.

At present, we don’t know what the problem is, if it’s just a simple BIOS problem, it’s better to solve it. If there is a problem with the hardware, it will be troublesome. Anyway, the release of the RTX 3090 Ti is definitely delayed, and I don’t know how long it will be delayed.
