NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 will be available in two versions: 8GB and 4GB video memory

NVIDIA will soon release a new generation of mainstream GeForce RTX 3050 at CES 2022 early next year. GeForce RTX 3050 will use GA106, which is different from using GA107 on mobile platforms. According to the latest Twitter user @kopite7kimi, Nvidia will provide two configurations for the GeForce RTX 3050. One is GA106-150, with 2560 CUDA cores, equipped with 8GB video memory. The other is GA106-140, with 2304 CUDA cores and 4GB of video memory. This configuration specification is lower than the 3072 CUDA cores rumored some time ago, and it is not ruled out that NVIDIA will launch the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti later to further improve the specifications.
GeForce RTX 3050

According to Nvidia, the performance of GeForce RTX 3050 will be stronger than GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER, but still lower than the upcoming GeForce RTX 2060 12GB version. It is rumored that Intel’s entry-level Alchemist graphics card (Xe-HPG 128EU/Arc A380) is a competitor to GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER with a core frequency of 2.45 GHz and will be equipped with 6GB of GDDR6 memory, which will also be released in the second quarter of 2022. In addition, AMD will launch Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400, using RDNA 2 architecture Navi 24 core, will be equipped with 4GB of video memory. The positioning of these products overlaps to a certain extent, and they may compete for the low-end market.

According to the latest rumors, the GeForce RTX 3050 will be released on January 4, 2022, and the sale date will be January 27, 2022.
