Nubia Z60 Fold is expected to arrive in 2023Q4

Undeniably, foldable screens seem to indeed delineate the trajectory of next-generation smartphones, given the considerable number of competitors on this path, with continuous additions of new contenders. Just days ago, Google unveiled its own foldable screen Pixel Fold. According to reports from NotebookCheck and Pricebaba, ZTE’s Nubia is set to launch a foldable screen phone, christened the Z60 Fold, with the device model being NX801J.

As disclosed by the informant Paras Guglani, the Z60 Fold is equipped with a 7.3-inch foldable AMOLED screen, though he refrained from elaborating on other screen details for the device. Judging from the only leaked images available thus far, it appears to adopt a rare outward folding design, with a notch designed on the right half of the screen to accommodate the front camera and other components.

Of course, it must be emphasized that this is a promotional render, making it challenging to discern whether it adopts an inward or outward folding scheme prior to sighting actual device photos. However, it is somewhat regrettable that the Z60 Fold retains the notch design, considering that many of ZTE’s flagship models have already incorporated under-display camera technology.

In terms of other hardware, the Z60 Fold will feature an as-yet-unannounced Snapdragon 8 series chip (perhaps the third-generation Snapdragon 8?), accompanied by 12GB of memory. For storage space, Nubia will offer two options of 256GB and 512GB. Concurrently, it will be equipped with a 5000mAh battery and 100W wired fast charging, with wireless charging also included.

Without a doubt, the Z60 Fold will represent Nubia’s new generation flagship phone. The informant indicates that it will arrive in Q4 2023, with three color options available for user selection. However, regarding specific color schemes and pricing, further information is yet to be disclosed.
