Noctua roadmap: White fans, new NH-D15 and 120mm dual tower radiators will be available this year

Recently, Austrian radiator manufacturer Noctua has updated its product roadmap for 2022. Noctua has made some changes on the new product roadmap, such as launching a new 120mm dual-tower air-cooled radiator in the first quarter of 2022 and launching the next-generation NH-D15 air-cooled radiator in the fourth quarter of 2022. There is also a white version of the cooling fan.

The existing NH-D9L and NH-D15 two-tower air-cooled radiators correspond to 92mm and 140mm fans respectively. The positioning of the new 120mm dual-tower air-cooled radiator will be very suitable, and it will be a good complement to Noctua’s CPU cooler product line. Compared with the NH-U12S single-tower air-cooled radiator with a 120mm fan, the new product will have higher heat dissipation efficiency.

According to Noctua’s product roadmap plan last year, the new generation of NH-D15 air-cooled radiators will be released in the second quarter of 2022, but it has now been postponed to the fourth quarter of 2022. Noctua introduced the NH-D15 air-cooled radiator in 2014, replacing the NH-D14 introduced in 2009, and added the chromax.black model in 2019. The NH-D15 is the cornerstone of the Noctua CPU cooler product line, so the new model must have something worth upgrading to avoid ruining the reputation built over the years.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, Noctua’s product update plan seems to have been affected, with successive delays. For example, the white version of the cooling fan, the original product roadmap shows that it will be launched in the first quarter of 2022, and now it has been changed to the fourth quarter of 2022. In fact, Noctua has shown related products at Computex 2019, and it is planned to be released as early as 2020.
