New iPhone SE series will be equipped with A14 Bionic and support 5G

The second-generation iPhone SE, which captured a lot of markets for Apple’s iPhone last year, and ranked second in the global smartphone sales list in 2020. In addition to the relatively affordable price in the iPhone product line, some users like the iPhone SE because of Touch ID. This feature has been very useful during the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic in the past year or so.

According to DigiTimes reports, multiple sources confirmed that Apple will continue to update the iPhone SE product line and will launch a new entry-level iPhone next year. The third-generation iPhone SE will be equipped with A14 Bionic and support 5G networks. It will be Apple’s cheapest 5G phone ever. This is the focus of Apple’s upgrade of the iPhone SE. At the same time, the new generation of products will still retain the Home button and Touch ID sensor. This should be the only model in the entire iPhone product line equipped with this. The only worry may be the battery life issue, the current second-generation iPhone SE performance in this regard is not satisfactory.

The news pointed out that iPhone SE will still use the current mold to minimize costs. This means that since the iPhone 6 was released in 2014, this design will be used for nearly ten years. If the user doesn’t mind this, it’s not a big problem. Although the sales of the iPhone 12 mini are the lowest in the entire iPhone 12 series, the iPhone SE with the same small screen is cheaper and consumers will not be so demanding. It is understood that the starting price of the iPhone SE will remain at $399, but there is also news that it will be cheaper.

The iPhone SE is expected to be released in the first half of 2022. It is clear that Apple wants to maintain the current product line settings while continuing to seize the 5G smartphone market.
