Netgear Launches Nighthawk M6 Pro 5G WiFi 6E Mobile Hotspot Router

With the rapid deployment of 5G networks in the past two years, many people have already enjoyed super-fast Internet access speeds. Even if your mobile phone is a 5G mobile phone, or a 5G network is required in a commercial or home environment, you can also use a 5G router (5G CPE) like the Netgear Nighthawk M5 for network deployment. Now Netgear has also launched an upgraded version of the Nighthawk M6 Pro, which is speeding up again.
Netgear Nighthawk M6 Pro
Compared with the previous generation Nighthawk M5, the appearance of the Netgear Nighthawk M6 Pro has been slightly changed. Now the power button has been moved from the front to the side, and a striped design has been added to the frame. The other parts are basically the same, and there is still a 2.8-inch touch color screen on the front. The main upgrade is that the internal Qualcomm Snapdragon X65 chip is replaced, which supports a 5G+ network, the mmWave standard with a maximum speed of 3.6Gbps, and the shared Wi-Fi network. Now it also supports Wi-Fi 6E up to 6GHz, and the wired connection maintains the LAN port and USB-C direct connection mode.

However, the Nighthawk M6 Pro can only run to a maximum speed of 2.9Gbps in the factory setting. Netgear said that this is for battery life. If you really use the mmWave 5G network, you can only set it to 3.6Gbps. In addition, the 2.5Gbps LAN port is closed by default, and can only be used when the battery is removed and powered by USB.

In terms of battery life, the Nighthawk M6 Pro continues the excellent design with a removable battery, with a capacity of 5040mAh. However, the nominal battery life is slightly lower than the previous generation, only 6 hours of online video playback, but now supports fast charging, and it takes 318 minutes to fully charge to 100%

The current retail price of the Nighthawk M6 Pro is $499, and the contract price is $14.98 per month.
