MSI team sets new DDR5 memory overclocking world record: DDR5-10004MHz

After the memory enters the DDR5 era, many manufacturers are very active in tapping its extreme potential in overclocking. At the beginning of this year, G.SKILL Trident Z5 series DDR5 memory, Intel Core i9-12900K processor, and ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z690 APEX motherboard set a world record for DDR5 memory overclocking, reaching an astonishing DDR5-8888

Recently, MSI’s OC team went a step further and announced a platform composed of Kingston Fury Beast series DDR5 memory, Intel Core i9-12900KS processor, and MSI UNIFY-X motherboard, successfully overclocked DDR5 memory to DDR5-10004MHz (timing is 72-126-126-126-127-2), breaking through the 10000MHz level, or 10GHz, and setting a new world record for overclocking DDR5 memory.
In this DDR5 overclocking, MSI’s OC team only turned on the two performance cores of the Core i9-12900KS processor, turned off hyperthreading, and reduced the frequency to 425.68MHz, of which the FSB was 106.42MHz and the multiplier was 4. MSI’s DDR5 overclocking results have been verified by Hwbot and CPU-Z.

Kingston and MSI have been cooperating in memory optimization and overclocking. Previously, MSI even bundled its top-of-the-line MEG Z690 GODLIKE motherboard and Kingston DDR5 memory with a frequency of 6000MHz as a package.

Many memory manufacturers have announced plans for DDR5 memory above 10,000MHz, and with the release of next-generation processors such as Intel Raptor Lake and AMD Raphael, it is likely to continue to drive DDR5 memory frequencies soaring.
