MSI released Z790 motherboard

MSI announced the launch of a series of Z790 motherboards, which will be launched simultaneously with Intel’s 13th-generation Core processors. The Z790 motherboard brought by MSI this time covers the MEG series, MPG series, MAG series, and PRO series, bringing a more efficient performance output guarantee for users who purchase Raptor Lake.

MSI has made many upgrades to the Z790 motherboard and adopted a more powerful power supply design. The flagship MEG Z790 GODLIKE has a 26+2-phase power supply (105A), and even the lowest PRO Z790 series has a 16+1+1-phase power supply (80A); more M.2 ports and optimized heat dissipation, Shield Frozr cooling has double-sided thermal pads, which can effectively reduce the temperature by 5%; all Z790 motherboards feature Wi-Fi 6E wireless solutions; the patented tool-free M.2 Shield Frozr is added; the output power of the front USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port can reach 60W.

This MEG series has two products, MEG Z790 GODLIKE Super God and MEG Z790 ACE Ares. The former provides PCIe 5.0 slot and M.2 support, and the M-Vision Dragon Soul dynamic panel is upgraded from 3.5 inches to 4.5 inches.
MPG series offers four models, including MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI Diablo, MPG Z790 EDGE WIFI blade, MPG Z790 EDGE WIFI DDR4 blade, and Mini-ITX MPG Z790I EDGE WIFI blade, adopt 19+1+1 phase power supply design. The ATX form factor will support 5 M.2 slots, the MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI will also have a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, the rest will be PCIe 4.0, and the Mini-ITX form factor will have three M.2 slots.

The MAG series brings the MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI, which has a corresponding DDR4 version and adopts a 16+1+1 phase power supply design (90A).
