MSI has prepared a variety of Z790 motherboards that support DDR4

Earlier this year, it was reported that Intel hopes to increase the promotion of DDR5 memory when the 13th-generation Core series processors are launched this year. Motherboard makers are even being asked to refrain from supporting DDR4 memory on the 700-series chipsets to speed up the transition of their platforms to DDR5 memory.

According to Overclock, according to the leaked product manual, MSI has been found to have prepared Z790 Edge DDR4, Z790 Tomahawk DDR4, and Z790 Pro DDR4 motherboards, paired with Intel’s latest high-end chipset and DDR4 memory. If each channel is equipped with one memory, it can support DDR4-5333+ memory modules, and if each channel is equipped with two memory modules, it can support up to DDR4-4433+ memory modules. However, from the model point of view, these Z790 motherboards are not the top models of MSI.

For some gamers, using DDR4 memory on Intel’s new platform isn’t a bad idea, especially if some of them already have high-end DDR4 memory modules and buy relatively cheaper motherboards. Although the price of DDR5 memory is much cheaper recently than when the Z690 chipset was originally released, it is not attractive enough for many players because most of the lower frequency products do not have a performance advantage.
