MSI announced a variety of Z690 motherboards, Including MEG, MPG and MAG series

Intel is about to release the 12th generation Core series processors this year, and the supporting Z690 motherboard. Previously, ASUS and ASRock have already exposed quite a few Z690 motherboards, with a huge lineup. This time MSI also revealed the information of its new Z690 motherboards. In the notice of MSI, three Z690 motherboards were shown, which belong to the MEG, MPG, and MAG series.


The gold and black match should be the Z690 ACE motherboard of the MEG series. There is an MSI Dragon logo on the I/O protective cover. You can see a large number of motherboard interfaces in the picture, includes multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, dual 2.5G Ethernet ports, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, wireless antenna for WiFi 6E, a 7.1 HD audio jack, BIOS Flashback and CMOS buttons, etc.


Another picture with silver and black matching should be the Carbon motherboard of the MPG series. The I/O protective cover also has the MSI Dragon logo, including USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI/DP ports, and a 2.5G Ethernet port, dual WiFi antennas and a 7.1 channel HD audio jack, etc.

Another picture should be a MAG series product, it should be a Tomahawk motherboard, you can see the dual 8Pin external power supply interface, including multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a 2.5G Ethernet port, WiFi 6 antenna, a 7.1-channel high-definition audio jack, and HDMI/DP port, etc.

In fact, Twitter user @momomo_us has revealed some models of MSI’s Z690 motherboard, as well as some specifications and configurations, including the MEG series of ACE and Unify, MPG series of Carbon, Edge, and a new model called Force, Tomahawk, and Torpedo of the MAG series, and the PRO series. Among them, the MEG series all use DDR5 memory, and the MPG, MAG, and PRO series have models that use DDR4 memory.

MSI will also hold the title “The Next Playground” on November 2, 2021, to introduce the new motherboard.
