Mozilla updated the about:performance page in the Firefox nightly

Mozilla has just brought updates to Firefox Nightly performance information page (about:performance), which allows users to see which tabs are taking more CPU cycles. In the new version, the Performance page shows the “resource usage” of each tab instead of the previous “page performance.”

Also, the new version brings some changes in visual design, allowing people to understand the resource overhead of each web page better. Interested friends can go to Mozilla’s official website to download the latest nightly build. It should be noted that although the nightly build version is updated very quickly, it is not very stable and may encounter some problems.

To try out the new about:performance page, open Firefox Nightly and follow the steps below:

  • Visit about:config
  • Find and change preference dom.performance.enable_scheduler_timing value to true.
  • Close and relaunch Firefox and visit about:performance to see the new look.
