Mozilla Firefox brings PIP feature to the Nightly version on Windows

Mozilla has enabled the picture-in-picture feature for video in Firefox on Windows, and you can test it right away from the Firefox Nightly Build. Mozilla brings new video controls to your browser that let you watch videos on top of other application windows. It can be resized and positioned anywhere on the screen.

Sites such as YouTube have been the first to support this feature, just play any video, right click on it and select the “Picture in Picture” option to start it, or hover over the video, waiting for the function icon to appear in the video window. The video will play in the mini window at the bottom right of the screen, you can move it on the right side of the screen, resize it and paste it where you want it. PiP mode also provides function buttons to return to the original video and to provide pause/play controls.

It’s important to note that for developers, Mozilla’s Picture in Picture is not compatible with the PiP Web API used by Chrome. Although Mozilla initially showed interest in the Chrome PiP, it has developed its own features.
