Ming-Chi Kuo: Apple’s first AR headset will be launched in Q2 2022

According to the latest report by the famous Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s goal is to launch the first AR headset in the second quarter of 2022. The report focuses on the prospects of Apple’s main optical supplier Genius Electronic Optical and points out that the company will be the main supplier for the upcoming iPhone 13 series as well as the AR headset and will be responsible for 65% to 70% of shipments of these components. A series of VR and AR glasses to be launched by companies such as Sony and Apple.

There are rumors that Apple is developing a pair of AR-related headsets. The device will be launched in 2021 or 2022. It is rumored that Apple will also launch more stylish augmented reality glasses in 2025. In January of this year, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the first AR headset will be unveiled in 2021, but in March, he postponed the prediction to the middle of 2022.

In addition to head-mounted devices, Ming-Chi Guo pointed out that Apple’s supplier Largan had not met Apple’s supply requirements and was reportedly instructed to halt production for June.
