Microsoft will launch the Chromium Microsoft Edge browser for Xbox

The Microsoft Edge browser, which is about to be discontinued, is still used in the Microsoft Xbox series of game consoles, and this browser will end its life on March 9.

On the desktop platform, Microsoft has already launched a new version of the browser and forced users to install it. Obviously, on the game console platform, Microsoft’s delay in updating it really makes consumers anxious.

Until now, Microsoft finally decided to update the browser for Xbox, and currently, beta users have received Microsoft Edge based on Chromium. Some beta users have received the Chromium Microsoft Edge browser, which is used to replace the Microsoft Edge browser.

For consumers, the performance of browsing web content on Microsoft game consoles will be better after updating the browser, after all, the old version of the browser has not been updated for a long time.

Some developers said that the delay in replacing the browser will cause users to worry because the old browser does not update and stop supporting, there may be unknown vulnerabilities, and so on.

In particular, the Microsoft Edge browser will end its support on March 9th. After the support ends, even if there are vulnerabilities, Microsoft will not fix them. At that time, attackers can take advantage of it.

Fortunately, now that the Microsoft Edge based on Chromium browser is finally released, Xbox users will soon get a new browser to improve performance.
