Microsoft updates “Your Phone” app with more useful features

Microsoft has now launched a new version of “Your Phone” to both the official and Insider Preview users. This update is not only a fix but also include a new feature. According to the Microsoft product manager responsible for the development of this feature, this update is mainly to provide users with more convenient operations, such as a quick reply to text messages.

However, the reply SMS function in the notification is still in the test phase, so it is only provided to the Insider Preview user. After the test is completed, it will be released to Windows 10 version 1809.

When using your phone to view photos on your Android device or photos from others, right-click on the photo and the Copy, Save, and Share buttons will appear. With this feature, users can easily save photos to the desktop or call the sharing function to send photos to other people through other applications. This feature is a full-featured feature and is therefore supported in Windows 10 version 1803 and later, and users can download Your Phone app through the Microsoft Store.

In order to facilitate the user to use the current SMS contact can change the avatar, when the SMS is received, click the default avatar to select the photo to set the default avatar. However, Microsoft did not explain whether it supports direct setting of contact avatars. The current state is that after receiving a text message, you can click on the SMS contact to modify it. This feature is only available for Windows 10 Version 2003 (20H1) users, and Insider Preview users can update it in the app store.

When the user receives a new message, the Windows 10 Notification Center will be notified, and the user can click the notification to directly input the content and send it to the mobile phone to reply. This interactive notification can be used to quickly reply when a notification pops up in the lower right corner of the desktop. It is more convenient to open the “Your Phone” app and then reply.
